Kids RhythmJAM!!!™

“Playing percussion instruments helps children develop coordination and motor skills."

-Kwan, A. (2013), “6 Benefits of Music Lessons,” Parents

Come experience the joy of making music!

Kids Rhythm Jam is where everyone gets permission to play and make noise to create rhythm and song!! Come & enjoy group drumming with your family and friends every Saturday morning. A Kids Rhythm Club drum circle helps build self-confidence, self-esteem, expands imagination and nurtures creative thinking. Instead of "sit down", "be quiet", and "don't touch"; now it’s time to jam with parents and meet new friends!

In a recent research study that was published in the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, found that participating in drumming activities led to significant social and emotional improvements for the students involved.

Family Fun! Kids, Parents, Grandparents, all drum together getting in rhythm, singing songs, and enjoying the process of being creative in the moment!! All ages are welcome!

Drumming is an excellent way for children to learn self-awareness, listening skills, coordination, cooperation and patience. Drumming, rhythm and song create a healthy environment for development. Drumming is also an effective way to engage children who have difficulty focusing and connecting with others. Rhythm-Based and Music-Based programs can also build valuable skills for processing and communicating information. Repetitive rhythm and motion have positive physiologically, cognitive and emotional effects, and can be a valuable aid to learning and growth.

Our Rhythm-Based Programs:

  • Increase ability to focus and to to stay "on task"

  • Develop self-awareness

  • Develop motor skills

  • Improve listening skills

  • Improve self-control, patience and cooperation

No prior musical experience necessary!!! If you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm!

All levels of music skills are welcome. Drums and hand percussion will be provided by Positive RePercussions.
